Slow Stitching...

I haven't turn on the sewing machine in ages...our summertime has been too hectic! BUT I always manage to do a bit of hand sewing in the evenings....

Two blocks down...almost three... and I'm loving these wee basket blocks from Quiltmania #83!

Today we are off raspberry picking...The sewing machine remains silent but the freezer will be filled with berries! It's all good!

Have a thrilling Thursday and I hope you find some time for some slow stitching too!~P

  3. These blocks are coming along nicely. I think the sewing machine can wait until fall if it means finishing these sweet baskets. Enjoy raspberry picking, I'm thinking about blackberry picking.

  7. Those are beautiful blocks and it is fun to have wool projects to work on in the summer. We have blackberries growing in the back, my neighbor started them in his yard and now they are all in mine.

  10. I finally turned on the sewing machine last week after many weeks of not. My problem was the cabinet became a gathering place for pieces and parts and patterns I was working on. I had to move a whole bunch of stuff to clear a path to the needle.

  11. I seem to be doing a lot more stitching than sewing this summer too. Just too hard NOT to be outside and active...and stitching is easy sewing that is easy to take along. :)
